The Journey ~ Part Three

If you have been reading along you know already that this design is very symbolic.  Maybe you have identified with the warrior, the storm, or the struggle that the mountains represent.

The third symbol is an arrow.  It had two meanings. . . . strength and faith.  We could not have had one without the other.

The arrow is strong, meant to hit the target (cancer) and win the battle.  Ron's faith and mine were never tested, only strengthened.  The arrow points up to show where our strength comes from.

Ron is doing well.  Healing is fast, then slow, then a step backward.

That's ok.  Each week he is better than the week before.

We are so blessed to have you praying for him (us).  Thank you for your love and support.

Ron says if you want me to publish the design I should (I've had emails!).  Would anyone be interested in it?  It's isn't the usual sort of LHN pattern you are used to stitching.  Let me know and I'll decide in the next week.

Happy Stitching,
Diane

  6. Cancer is constant swings and roundabouts..as long as there is a general move in the right direction then things are well. Love the design.

  7. Yes, yes, and yes! I would definitely purchase the chart. While I love your work and have most, if not all of your entire catalog of designs, this one really and truly calls out to me as both my father and my grandmother suffered from cancer.

Hugs and prayers to you both!

  8. Love the design, but especially the symbolism. Perhaps others have a man in their life fighting a battle and this design is perfect!

  9. Ah, yes! I too would love to stitch it. I've lost both parents to cancer. I can see myself reflecting on my life and the wrinkles while stitching this! Thank You!

  10. What a wonderful way to share and pass on the love and strength this warrior represents. Maybe he will be a symbol of encouragement in another's battle or struggle in their life.

  11. Please publish this, it is lovely. My best friend is dying from cancer that has matasticized to her brain. I would love to stitch this for her family. My mother was just diagnosed with cancer too and I know that she would love the symbolism of your design. Thank you.

  15. Glad that each day is a better day for both of you. I admire you and your designs and would love this one if it becomes available. My husband Dennis had a tough medical (2011/2012) year and once again we find him not feeling well.... I understand.

  17. I would love to stitch this as well. What would you think of maybe selling the design and maybe 1/2 the proceeds could go to the treatment center where he's gone? Or something like that? Will continue to pray for his healing and strength!

I would be so grateful for the opportunity to stitch this design. There is hardly a family that has not been touched by cancer in some way. And there is no person alive who has not had some sort of "journey" of their own. I would be honored to stitch it and I do hope you offer it. I will be one of the first in line to purchase it. Prayers to you both, Sue
